The family of government teacher turned terror operative Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh arrested Poonch arrested by Poonch Police on November 15 along with two others, while carrying arms and ammunition, they picked up after a drone dropped near the line of control (LoC) in the Rajouri district, owned property worth several crores rupees in Kashmir valley, Jammu and Poonch district.
They had to transport the consignment, which had reportedly been dropped by a drone from across the (LoC), to Kashmir valley via Mughal Road. Three terror operatives nabbed by the police in an overnight operation that continued till this evening have been identified as Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh, a Government teacher, son of Dr Abdul Rashid Sheikh, a resident of Sailan, Bufliaz, Mehraj Ahmed son of Maqsood Ahmed resident of Behram Gala and Gulshan son of Mohammad Sharief of Bunikhet, Bafliaz.
A team acting on a specific intelligence input had laid a naka at Bahram Gala and intercepted a Safari vehicle at 11.30 pm last night, the vehicle was driven by Aijaz Ahmed Sheikh, a Government teacher, who was nabbed from the vehicle and was subjected to sustained interrogation during which he disclosed identity of his companion.
“The family own property at Nishat Srinagar, a huge palatial house now a PG hostel and other places in Kashmir valley as well, in Jammu city his family has property at Bathindi Dungian, and a palatial house Sailain Surankote Poonch apart from land (plots) at different places”, sources informed The Hidden News.
Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh terror operative is the real brother of Intikhab Sheikh, who is presently posted as Director, Finance at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar he has been staying at the same place for around six years Sheikh’s family has amassed huge immovable property in Kashmir.
Bashir Ahmad Sheikh father-in-law and uncle (Chacha) of Intikhab Sheikh Director of Finance SKIMS Soura, surrendered himself to save Intikhab, who was also present in his village under the back village programme when the Police arrested Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh, but he (Intikhab) ran away back to Srinagar, immediately after the arrest of his brother.
A close relative of arrested terrorist Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh is a senior Police officer and a drug addict and it is also alleged that he (Police officer) is also involved in drug paddling, and making huge money from the drug business using his official position.
Another close relative of the teacher turned terrorist, Aijaz Ahmad Sheikh, a JKAS officer found issuing fake transfer orders, but the henchman of the officer, a teacher who was attached to the civil secretariat in his department, owned the entire scam and saved his boss.
Another female member of the same family was arrested by Surankote Police in 2019 in u/s 420 in financial fraud of 5-6 crores rupees (doubling the money of people). But due to the influence of the family, Police Officer and JKAS officer, she went scot-free.
“Certainly, these people teacher turned terror operative, Police officer turned drug paddler, the JKAS officer who issued fake transfer orders and female member of the family who duped gullible people, will ‘encourage’ many others to indulge in unethical, anti-social and anti-national activities, if timely and exemplary action is not initiated these people”, said a senior Police officer wishing not to be named, after going through the information shared by The Hidden News, with him, before publishing this story.
