BAJ threatens to intensify agitation in the days to come if the LGs administration not conceded their genuine demands
Association Jammu today staged vociferous protest against the LGs administration for their apathetic and indifferent attitude in addressing their genuine demands of housing of all the different courts as that of Common administrative tribunal ( CAT) Debt recovery tribunal, Registration work etc in the district court complex Janipur. The works in the courts were paralysed today on account of protest by the lawyers fraternity against the LGs administration.
Lawyers fraternity boycotted the works and assembled in the district court complex Janipur to expressed their sheer resentment against the LG administration. Speaking on the Occasion, Bar President Senior Advocate MK bhardwaj Categorically stated “we are constrained by the administration to staged protest as we have submitted a charter of demands through the medium of Memorandum to his excellency Lieutenant Governor. But despite lapse of several months since we have submitted our demands nothing concrete has been done by the LG administration as such today we showed our anger by holding protest in the court complex.
When asked by the media that if the demands not fulfilled by the LG then what steps would the bar adopt, Bar President vehemently divulged that if the demands not fulfilled within shortest possible time then we are left with no other option then to adopt agitational path which is the way out adding, agitation would be turn more massive in the days to come if the LG administration not ready to acceded to our genuine demands”he maintained.
Bar President stated that today protest is a reminder to the LG administration to do the needful for the lawyer’s fraternity at the earliest as the lawyers fraternity suffered immensely post abrogation of Article 370 and Article 35- A as such the LG administration should wake up from the deep slumber and rise to the occasion to restore confidence of the lawyers fraternity to the fullest extent.
Amidst chanting of Slogans against the LG administration by the lawyers fraternity, Lawyers castigated the LG administration for not paying any heed to their genuine demands resultant there in they rued that they are facing insurmountable hardships on account of shifting of courts from the District court complex Janipur. As in all the courts now physical hearing started as such its a difficult task for the lawyer’s fraternity to attend the respective courts at a single point of time.
Lawyer’s fraternity unequivocally in one voice seeks the fulfillment of their genuine demands adding, LGs administration should do the needful as this profession has badly affected post abrogation of Article 370,they asserted. Sooner the LGs administration fulfill our demands better it would be in the interest of lawyers fraternity failing which we would adopt agitational path,they lamented.
